About Farstar

 

 

Back in 2003 I had an idea... I wanted to start promoting and organising events where friends could come and listen to decent music and have a good time. I met up with Jay, someone who is a close friend and ally and put my ideas to him. That year we organised our very first Farstar Boat Party which to our surprise sold out within 3 weeks... For this event we designed a basic logo for Farstar and printed up a couple of T-shirts purely for promotional purposes. This worked well because the party was talked about for a long time after and this in turn helped get the brand name out there. 

 

In early 2004 plans were underway for the 2nd Boat Party, this time we sat down and designed a small range of t-shirts rather than just the one design. We printed our new designs up onto better quality T-shirts and Hoodies and we started to sell them at all our events. That same year we also got a small order from a local clothing retailer. This helped get our brand name known outside our circle of friends and onto the high street. When we saw people we didn't know wearing our clothing we decided to set up a small website and develop our range using our combined influences and those of our friends, music, travel, our environment, the sea and coastline, art, hip hop, graffiti and the place where we live to shape our company, our designs and our direction.

 

2009 - We now have stock in a number of retail outlets and this new website to boot! Happy days...
